Switzerland has officially decided to join the international OSINT Centre of Excellence.

At its meeting in Bern on January 29th, 2025, the Federal Council of Switzerland approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will allow Switzerland’s Federal Intelligence Service (FIS) to participate in the work of the OSINT Centre of Excellence. The MoU will be signed by the Director of the FIS Christian Dussey.

Swiss government expressed its trust that such decision will surely contribute to strengthening the FIS’s capabilities to timely detect threats to both national and European security. Joining OSINT CoE will enable the FIS to work more closely with its partners and exchange views on open-source intelligence collection.
