Presentation by OSINT CoE Director at the AI4GS-24 Conference in France
The Director of the International Center of Excellence for OSINT gave a presentation at a prestigious conference in Paris on Information and Communication Technologies and Sciences.
On November 19, 2024, the Director of the International Center of Excellence for OSINT, Dr. Tomislav Dokman, gave a presentation at the "Artificial Intelligence for Global Security" conference in Paris, France, which gathers international researchers from the private sector and academic community.
Director Dokman discussed the concept of linking public knowledge and databases with elements of artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on the phenomenon of terrorism and the possibility of predicting future terrorist attacks based on the application of machine learning, or mathematical models. The presentation showcased the concept of using historical data on terrorist acts and applying specific statistical-analytical models in the context of forecasting future locations of terrorist activities, behavior patterns, trends, and methods of operation.
The AI4GS-24 conference is organized by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). It is a leading multinational organization in the field of Information and Communication Technologies and Sciences, founded in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO, as a result of the first World Computer Congress held in Paris in 1959.
