Vice-President Tomo Medved gave his full support to the international OSINT Centre of Excellence in Zagreb
Vice-President of Croatian Government in charge of national security Tomo Medved, the Head of the Office of the National Security Council Valentino Franjić, the Director of the Military Security and Intelligence Agency General Ivan Turkalj and the Deputy Director of the Security and Intelligence Agency Hrvoje Omrčanin visited the international OSINT Centre of Excellence on October 28th, 2024.
The Director of the OSINT CoE dr. Tomislav Dokman presented the Centre’s mission and vision as the international hub of knowledge, expertise and experience in the OSINT field, while its establishment presents an important step in strengthening and modernizing this intelligence discipline on the European level. He emphasized the Centre has carried out all of its activities planned for 2024, with the priority being to make the Centre operational and to create the foundation for achieving its strategic goals. Compared to 2024, the number of planned activities in the following year will increase significantly, and the Centre’s focus will be on broadening its membership, further enhancing the Centre’s visibility and recognition within the European intelligence community, as well as building stronger ties with the academia and credible private sector partners.
The Vice-President Medved expressed his personal and Government’s support for the Centre’s work, and has on this account received unanimous backing from the heads of the Croatian security and intelligence institutions.
